Friday Funnies: Crazy Weathermen

A friend of mine from New Hampshire always talked about the avant garde meteorologist at the local station there, WNDS. Well, for the first time, I finally saw him in action. His name is Al Kaprielian, and his delivery style is a bit… different. Flamboyant? I don’t know if that’s the word. Whatever the word is, here he is, in all his glory.

Crazy weathermen are everywhere. First, there are the wannabe crazy weathermen in small markets who have no clue what they’re doing:

And then there are the real batshit crazy weathermen – the guys in big markets who are probably on some sort of drugs and are eventually fired:

The forecast for the weekend in New York calls for HOLY SHIT IT’S GONNA BE BEAUTIFUL partly cloudy skies and a HERE COMES THE RAIN AGAIN chance of rain, with highs around DAMN THERE AIN’T NO NEED FOR A JACKET TOMORROW 80 degrees. Enjoy the weather.

I like the high. Who doesn’t like the high?

  2. That third guy is my uncle. You should see him at Bar Mitzvahs and the occasional bris.

I used to live in New Hampshire, and for a while, they took Al off the air (it was a good decision)–however, the local New Hampshireites protested that they wanted Al back, and lo, they brought the smarmy, squeaky lil’ bastard back onto the air.

He is obnoxious, and like that ALL the time. “Good eeeeeeevening everyone!”

I wrote a ‘hater’ email to them, criticizing this goofy weatherman, and I got back some serious ire for daring to make fun of their precious 4-foot tall short-busser.

I love New Hampshire, but hell if they have no taste at all.
